Mellow summer gravel fiesta
13-15 september

We've chosen one of our absolute fave wild spaces for a mid summer celebration.  Tucked away in a hidden corner of the Surrey countryside basecamp is a beaut of a site sitting on the River Wey - you would never know you're only an hour away from the bright lights of London (or Brighton!).

Join in the fun with 2 days of riding on a super-special selection of wild trails on this wild weekend escape.

The emphasis is naturally on the rides-in-beautiful-places, the magic continues off the bike with mouth-watering wholesome meals and chilled fire & riverside vibes.  â€‹

You'll be treated to a sublime blend forest trails, bridleways and tree-lined lanes winding through the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 2 days of riding include highlights of and legendary King Alfred's Way and the other-worldly Frensham Common with its vast and colourful heather fields.

Swing by the spectacular Devil’s Punch Bowl which is right on our doorstep where you'll discover a wild and colourful landscape of purple, greens and gold. Legend has it that the Devil scooped up a handful of earth and hurled it at Thor, God of Thunder, leaving the hollow that is the Devil’s Punch Bowl.

Sunday's group ride is to the dreamy Frensham Ponds - for a lakeside forest cruise and refreshing dip - if that takes your fancy.

You'd be excused for thinking you'd spent the weekend in another country!

dates: 13-15 september 2024

Type: off-road self-guided saturday ride & sunday social group rideout

everyone welcome

We want to create and foster an inclusive atmosphere at Wild Cycles events.

As passionate cyclists we strongly believe that there is still a significant lack of diversity in the sport at the moment.

That's why, we'd like to make a number ring-fenced spaces available for Women, Open Gender/Non-Binary, LGBTQ+ and *POC/BAME riders to attend. If you know anyone that would enjoy what the Wild Mountain Festival is all about, please reach out and share!

To access these tickets please responsibly use the link below.

*We understand that the terms POC and BAME do not necessarily serve all individuals within the diverse groups we are trying to reach with this, we're constantly learning and adapting our approach and language so please drop us an email if you have any feedback on the above.
