the Downs…too much for one pair of eyes

“The Downs… too much for one pair of eyes... enough to float a whole population in happiness, if only they would look”

Virginia Woolf, diaries

Cutting across this remote and incredibly beautiful slice of England - South Downs Way is probably one of the UK's most stunning off-road routes.

Although it's a well-trodden and ridden path (much of it is well sign-posted) - the Wild Cycles crew & some special friends went to check it out (again).

Although we've travelled this Way many times - it did not detract from the achingly beautiful scenery and an awe-inspiring views.

Ahead of Albion South Downs Bikepacking 6 - 7 June - it was also an opportunity to check out basecamp at Gumber Farm. Located in a sublime off-grid setting - the bothy, facilities (hot showers!), bunk-house camping field et al - confirmation: it's insanely sumptuous.

We'll let the pictures do the talking from ere.

Feast your eyes on the fabulous gallery below which paints a picture of this wild and beautiful experience....

And if you love the look of that
