RAB wild wales weekender
1st - 3rd sept

Join us in the Welsh hills for a different take on the legendary Rab Wild Wales Gravel Festival. We're planning a truly special weekend for those looking for a super-chilled and unforgettable mountain escape. Nestled in a spectacular valley overshadowed by the Black Mountains basecamp is a no-frills, but no-less spectacular setting for a wholesome weekend of riding, connecting and enjoying delicious meals together.

We are going back to basics for a fully community-focused weekend. It has become increasingly apparent that although the riding-in-beautiful-places is the key enabler - recent interactions point to the fact that more magic happens off the bike - around the dinner table, by the campfire or enjoying a post ride @stohk brew.

dates: 1st - 3rd september 2023

Type: off-road self-guided saturday ride & sunday social group bimble

Duration: 2 days' riding and/or walks - 2 nights' camping

Bring your own camping gear, cooking and ingredients

a wholesome weekend in the green heart of wales

We're bringing Wild Cycles' signature approach to this unique adventure in Wales, so expect open fires, delicious local food, great company, chilled atmosphere at basecamp in the evenings. Activities emanate from basecamp in the foothills of the Black Mountains with its spectacular mountain landscapes.

everyone welcome

We want to create and foster an inclusive atmosphere at Wild Cycles events. As passionate cyclists we strongly believe that there is a huge lack of diversity in the sport at the moment. After an engaging fireside chat at Brother in The Wild Dorset last year, we set about thinking how we could help change this.

That's why, we'd like to make 25 ring-fenced spaces at this year's Mountain Festival available for Women, Open Gender/Non-Binary, LGBTQ+ and *POC/BAME riders to attend. If you know anyone that would enjoy what the Wild Mountain Festival is all about, please reach out and share!

To access these tickets please responsibly use the link below.

*We understand that the terms POC and BAME do not necessarily serve all individuals within the diverse groups we are trying to reach with this, we're constantly learning and adapting our approach and language so please drop us an email if you have any feedback on the above.

directly supporting degmo

We're passionate about Degmo and our summer camp directly supports this fantastic initiative. A family run farm in the heart of the British countryside, Degmo provides Somali families from inner cities throughout the UK with the opportunity to explore their nomadic roots, language and customs. Read more on Degmo here.

Sponsors & partners

Wild Wales Gravel Festival would not be possible in its current format without the support of sponsors Komoot and Rab Cinder.

We're also super stoked to be partnering with brewing bros at Stohk and of course our amazing hosts - The Wilson Family @ Degmo Foundation.
